Although the spin-off series Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain was included in Nickelodeon's package of episodes, it was never broadcast.Ī Little Off the Top / Megalomaniacs Anonymous Note: Two episodes share the same production number (021). In common with many other Animaniacs shorts, many episodes are in some way a parody of something else, usually a film or novel.
In each episode, Brain devises a new plan to take over the world which ultimately ends in failure: usually due to the impossibility of Brain's plan, Brain's own arrogance or overconfidence, Pinky's bumbling, or just circumstances beyond their control. Brain is self-centered and scheming, while Pinky is good-natured but feeble-minded. Pinky and Brain are genetically enhanced laboratory mice who reside in a cage in the Acme Labs research facility. It originally aired on The WB from September 9, 1995, to November 14, 1998. Pinky and the Brain was an animated series created by Tom Ruegger and spun off from the popular Warner Bros.
